Saving Face

Consider this post completely void of emotion.  It is a simple post about the things that have helped me save my skin from the harsh New England winter temps.  In all fairness, it has been pretty mild up here this year (so I hear).  My skin, however, is accustomed to a lot more humidity and warmth.  It’s, dare I say it, tropical skin.

Let me start by saying that I put on makeup every day.  No matter what, I’m wearing at least foundation and mascara.

Clinique’s Take the Day Off: Hands down the best eye makeup remover.

Olay’s Facial Brush & Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser: The brush is gentle but cleansing.  I didn’t like the Olay Cleanser, but found that the Neutrogena one is moisturizing and effective at cleaning.

Clinique’s Even Better: This is more of a serum, less of a moisturizer.  I’ve found though that with the Neutrogena cream cleanser I don’t need a thick nighttime moisturizer.

L’Occitane’s Immortelle Brightening Foam: I use one pump of this to clean my face in the shower.  It works to remove the serum from the night before and prep my face for the next step.

Immortelle Precious Cream and Immortelle Precious Eye Cream both by L’Occitane.

At this point I would put on makeup.  That is for another post though.
